About Us

Care2Share is a non-profit organization of Vietnamese - American volunteers who work to provide funding, ideas and the human touch to the people of Vietnam. Our Vision is for all people in the world to be empowered and enabled to pursue health, happiness, and self-sustaining livelihood with human dignity - catalyzed by the action and seeded by the love of people who Cares Enough to Share. Our current focus is on the neglected people of Vietnam. Our Mission is to be the intermediary to communicate people's needs and to bring relief and the human touch to the suffering and neglected people in Vietnam.

Care2Share was founded by a group of friends who shared similar background as successful first generation Vietnamese-Americans living in Ohio. This group initiated a trip to survey various parts of Viet Nam in 1999 and the members were deeply touched by what they saw. With such profound first-hand accounts of leprosy, poverty, and primitive living conditions, the group came back with a conviction of being the messenger of needs in Viet Nam. The natural course was also to be the deliverer of gifts of joy and compassion for benefactors abroad.

In 2000, Care2Share filed for non-exempt status through the IRS and was granted a 501 (C) (3) privilege in 2001. With this, Care2Share operates and carries out our mission, all within the guidance provided by the law. All members are 100% volunteers.

2008 marked our 10th trip to Vietnam. As with all previous trips, it was remarkable, heart-felt, and full of meanings, who we are - humans with the need to care for one another.
